| Academies of design all over Germany
offer courses leading to the degree of "Designer in the Crafts."
Experienced instructors from the crafts, arts and sciences convey
extensive theoretical and practical skills to their students. They
provide the competence to design crafts products and services. You will
be encouraged, assisted and enabled to tap and develop your creativity.
You will have an opportunity to depict your ideas in the drawing
medium, develop a sense of color and form for the translation of your
designs, work conceptually, and effectively present your results. These
are the requisite competencies for successful product development and
customer consultancy. The curriculum is based on your experience with materials and crafts skills. Together with craftspeople from diverse fields, you will learn the basics of design and presentation. In a unique learning environment with intensive supervision and cooperation, you will become familiar with the full range of the designer’s activities. |
